Since we sell our cuts of ribbon and tapes by the yard, we often have lengths left over that are a bit too short to sell as part of our regular inventory. This is an excellent opportunity for you to grab a great deal on these odd-length remnants!

Wool Tape was used extensively in the 18th century and into modern times.  In the 18th & 19th centuries, it was found on petticoat & gown hems, wallets, jackets, Regimental coats, Indigenous American and First Nation garments, bed hangings, and slipcovers.  Hats were bound in it and garments closed with it.  This Wool Tape is woven in a pattern sometimes referred to as a braid, with the yarns crossing over each other to create a diamond pattern.
Examples from the 18th century & 19th century.
